Wander around the Opal Fields and town check out how this beautiful stone is mined, ask
all the questions you like because it is better to go away with some knowledge than none
at all.
Check out the old miners huts , they are original and still have all the old tools and
furniture.Have a look at the cemetery there are some amazing head stones or just walk the
town it is different.

Visit Lake Torrens and view the fossil beds -stromatilites- , have a look at the fish in
the salt water springs ,hardie heads, wander the shore and check out the rock formations but
don't drive on the lake YOU WILL GET BOGGED. |

In wild flower season walk through the sandhills and photgraph everything you see it can
be very beautiful.
The only things you should leave behind our flowers and your foot prints, litter can be
very harmful to our native animals and environment.
